Terms
All reservations at Le Petit Bois, either provisional or confirmed, are made upon subject to the following terms & conditions and no variation thereof will be accepted unless agreed in writing with about group. Written confirmation or request to confirm a reservation (via phone, email or post) or a reservation made via any internal or external platform, will confirm acceptance of these terms & conditions by all parties. All guests confirm that they accept these terms should they have been directed to them via phone, verbal direction, email, booking system, website or post. About dining does not accept diners without a prior reservation being made via this platform.
Guests booking via our previous platform are subject to the same terms, the terms detailed were contained within the booking terms and conditions which were the same as those detailed in this policy.
Interpretation
In these terms & conditions “Le Petit Bois” means Little Blackwood Limited T/A Le Petit Bois. The “client” or “Lead Guest” means the person, firm or company making the booking with Le Petit Bois. All clients acknowledge when booking they have reviewed in advance our frequently asked questions, these terms and the sample menus and accept that menus are fully subject to change, and no element of the menu can be guaranteed.
Guests are also defined as any person attending our venue and guests who place the reservation are responsible for advising all their guests of the respective terms and conditions in advance of attendance. Le Petit Bois will not accept any liability or complaint where any guest has failed to comply with these terms.
The Lead Booker is defined as any person making a reservation in their name. The interpretation of these terms is any reservation made via our online reservation system and/or via the telephone/email/social media channel or any other means of communication including verbal or written. The interpretation / definition of a cancellation is a full cancellation or no-show for a table or the cancellation / no-show of an individual due to attend on a reservation for example the reduction of a table from its original number.
Areas and Timings
All tables are dining tables and all guests who have booked are required to dine with us.
Guests acknowledge when booking that they are aware of these aspects.
All guest tables with exception of pre and after drinks tables are allocated for 2 hours from the time of reservation unless otherwise prior agreed or defined via specific event booking. Guests who are more than 15 minutes late will be classified as a no-show/cancellation without prior notification or contact.
All menus are subject to daily change without prior notification.
We have a 15-minute grace period. Please call us if you are running later than 15 minutes after your booked time as a cancellation will be applied by the system after 15 minutes and the pre-paid deposit will be lost. We may contact you about your reservation, so please ensure your email and phone numbers are up to date.
Your table will be booked for 2 hours from the time of your reservation not the time of arrival. In the event that a guest requests an increase in attending numbers, Le Petit Bois reserves the right to apply the associated deposit charge to the guests registered card without prior notification.
Menu Selection & Pre Orders
Le Petit Bois reserves the right to amend menus without notice.
Guests who book tables more than two weeks in advance from their booking time will likely see a menu change prior to their booking. Guests should review the menu the day of dining for updates, please note that menu changes are not basis for cancellation of a booking within the notice cancellation period.
All items listed are subject to availability and pre order or selection does not guarantee availability.
Guests wishing to amend their menu and/or pre order choice need to do so within 72 hours of their booking.
Guests who have pre-selected pre ordered items who wish to amend or remove need to do so within 72 hours of their booking.
All guests should note that if their booking is rescheduled it is likely that they will reschedule to a period where the menu would have changed both in the respect of product or on occasion pricing points, guests acknowledge their awareness of this aspect when agreeing to reschedule under these terms and acknowledge that Le Petit Bois will not accept subsequent changes as a basis for further cancellation.
Minimum Spend
Le Petit Bois does not operate a minimum spend however it is a requirement that all guests dine.
Pre Payment Deposit and Cancellation Policy
All reservations need to be made via our online platforms and they require a deposit of £20 per person to secure all reservations.
For reservations which have pre-ordered the Seafood Platter, a deposit of £30 per head will be required to secure the booking.
Deposits are a payment linked to the booking by the guest at the time of reservation.
Therefore, failure of the guest to partake in that booking either by cancellation or no show creates a quantifiable loss to the associated restaurant.
At Le Petit Bois’ discretion bookings may be taken by alternative methods however all terms remain. All reservations made via our website and Dish Cult (ResDiary) are subject to a deposit as directed by the site for the respective reservation. All cancellations need to be actioned via the respective reservation system or by contacting Le Petit Bois via email. Please note we cannot accept cancellations from third parties on behalf of the client. Please note we do not accept cancellations via phone, text, social media messages or any other means other than that detailed above this is to avoid confusion or error in respect of processing any applicable cancellation. Please note that cancellation charges and loss of deposits are fully automated, and system generated, and the guest services team have no ability to override the system or issue a refund unless the subsequent charge is administered in error by Le Petit Bois team.
All cancellations made outside of the required notice period defined in this policy will mean you will be refunded any associated deposit paid minus the transaction fee.
Any associated no show of a whole or part of a reservation will be classified as a cancellation of the whole or part of the reservation. If guest numbers drop due to cancellation of part of the party, Le Petit Bois may relocate the booking to an alternative table type. Should Le Petit Bois not request a deposit at the time of booking the terms and charges will still apply in full and the client or lead booker will be required to make payment. Customers should note that bookings made within the cancellation period will mean that the cancellation terms automatically apply upon booking. Guests who have booked and subsequently arrive but do not dine would be classified as a cancellation – this includes cancellations due to failure to advise of dietary requirements in advance of the reservation or guests who arrive and opt to drink rather than dine without prior agreement.
No consideration for flexibility or relaxation of loss of deposit can be given for cancellation due to adverse weather, traffic or lateness resulting in arrival after 15-minute grace period. Guests who are more than 15 minutes late could unless prior agreed be defined as a cancellation. Guests who are booked and who don’t arrive or arrive and don’t dine will mean a loss of the deposit associated to that guest.
All guests should note that if their booking is rescheduled it is likely that they will reschedule to a period where the menu would have changed both in the respect of product or on occasion pricing points, guests acknowledge their awareness of this aspect when agreeing to reschedule under these terms and acknowledge that Le Petit Bois will not accept subsequent changes as a basis for further cancellation.
Where a guest moves date or experience and an additional deposit is actioned the guest need to pay the additional deposit via the link sent to the guest by email, guests confirm by way of booking and acknowledgment of these terms to a reoccurring charge in this instance.
Standard Cancellation Charges
Cancellations or amendments can be made at any time via your booking confirmation email if more than 7 days before your reservation.
Cancellations within the 7 clear days will be subject to a loss of deposit and associated pre-payment or associated Le Petit Bois or third-party voucher or the applicable pre-authorisation charge
In instance of reservations of 6-12 guests, this period is increased to 14 clear days.
In instance of reservations of over 12 guests (whole restaurant hiring), this period is increased to 21 clear days.
Interpretation of clear days’ notice for the purpose of this document is 1 clear days’ notice regardless of the time of the reservation. Therefore, the day of the reservation and the day of cancellation are therefore not counted as a clear day. An example of a clear day would be as follows.
Below is a table for clear understanding of the notice required for cancellations that require 7 days clear days’ notice, this means the day of the booking and the day of the cancellation don’t count towards the 7 days as they are not clear.
In the instance the cancellation is 14 days this would mean the same day however a further week before and the same respective definition for 28 clear days.

Monday reservation requires a cancellation by 23:59 on Sunday week previous
Tuesday reservation requires a cancellation by 23:59 on Monday week previous
Wednesday reservation requires a cancellation by 23:59 on Tuesday week previous
Thursday reservation requires a cancellation by 23:59 on Wednesday week previous
Friday reservation requires a cancellation by 23:59 on Thursday week previous
Saturday reservation requires a cancellation by 23:59 on Friday week previous
Sunday reservation requires a cancellation by 23:59 on Saturday week previous
Guests whose reservations reduce in numbers are defined as a cancellation and loss of deposit for that associated guest(s). Per cover is defined as per person booked, this will include reservations where additional guests are added after the original reservation is made.
Deposits are a payment linked to the menu selected by the guest at the time of reservation, therefore failure of the guest to partake in that chosen menu either by cancellation or no show creates a quantifiable loss to Le Petit Bois. It is therefore imperative that guests contact Le Petit Bois prior to the cancellation period should they wish to cancel or within the reschedule notice period should they wish to move times or dates.
Flexible Policy
Third Party Voucher Bookings
Guest who book with a 3rd party voucher will be required to provide all relevant information to redeem the voucher, once the voucher is redeemed the guest is unable to cancel the booking however the guest does have the ability to reschedule their booking with 3 days notice, such reschedule has to be within 28 days and has to be within the defined date of validity and within the defined times of use.
Any cancellations or non attendance will either render the voucher non re-useable for a future date, a charge that is equivalent of the pre authorisation or associated supplement figure. Le Petit Bois will only apply one of the above and these will not be applied in combination.
If a guest uses the electronic system to cancel and fails to notify us via email of the cancellation we will be unable to assist the guest in respect of rescheduling.
All third-party voucher reservations are made in line with the terms and conditions detailed forthwith and are in addition to those terms detailed on the voucher.
All third party issued vouchers cannot be used or redeemed over our Christmas period, Valentine’s week or other national holidays such as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
Le Petit Bois cannot be responsible for errors in reservations by the guest.
Guests cannot combine vouchers or utilise Le Petit Bois gift vouchers alongside 3rd party vouchers.
For the voucher to be valid for payment the guest needs to have advised Le Petit Bois of the associated voucher number, voucher description and associated security or PIN number a minimum of 48 hours in advance of the reservation.
Guests using third party vouchers cannot use multiple vouchers on the same reservation or utilise Le Petit Bois vouchers as additional payment mechanism. Le Petit Bois is not involved in the issuing or processing of third-party vouchers and any applicable enquiries/complaints need to be directed to the third-party voucher company.
Guests acknowledge they have reviewed all third-party applicable terms and conditions including but not limited to the voucher description and any applicable surcharges for use of a voucher on certain days.
When booking details of the voucher must be disclosed to the restaurant to validate the use of a voucher, failure to follow this process will mean the voucher can’t be utilised by the guest as a form of payment and Le Petit Bois Reserves the right to cancel or refuse any third-party voucher and instruct the third-party voucher provider to issue a full refund to the guest.
